Individual Health Volunteers Sought for Global Placements

For several years United Methodist Volunteers in Mission has offered global placements of mission volunteers who complete an in-depth application process and a week-end training retreat.  These applicants agree to accept a placement lasting for a minimum of 2 months to 2 years with an option to extend.

All placements are in places where the United Methodist General Board of Global Ministries is present or in a collaborative relationship with an approved agency that accepts the role of host for that Individual Volunteer.

Now, with UMCOR's institution of Global Health Boards in many resource poor communities, there is renewed interest in the recruitment of volunteers who are either direct care health professionals or who possess experience and skill in some aspect of health/clinic administration and service to become Individual Health Volunteers.

If you have health administration or health service delivery abilities and a mission heart, please visit the Individual Health Volunteer Tab at the top of this blog's home page or contact Rev. Malcolm Frazier at MFrazier@gbgm-umc.org for an application and more information.
