Healthier Moms and Kids Target of New Health Promoter Focus in Panama

Four UMVIM Team Volunteers who were part of a group that initiated a Health Promoter curriculum in Panama in 2009, returned there in mid-September to promote an intensive focus on 5 "Star-points" to improve health among the most vulnerable of the Ngabe Indigenous People of Panama.  The five concentrations were: (1) Prevention (of disease and pregnancy complications), (2) Nutrition,
(3) Protection/Safeguards, (4) Education/Early Learning and (5) Physical Coordination.
