Health Related Job Openings in Guatemala


(The Organization for the Development of the Indigenous Maya) offers competent and compassionate medical and educational services to the people of San Juan and San Pablo on Lake Atitlan. The 40 employees of ODIM run two family medicine clinics, 5 health education programs (diabetes, nutrition, women's health are the largest), a student scholarship program, a home construction program, and host medical and construction teams throughout the year. They are currently seeking two full-time employees:

Health Programs Administrator
ODIM uses a model for our community-based health programs (Nutrition, Diabetes, Women's Health, Sexual Education, and Child Scholarship) in which 25 part-time health promoters and teachers are trained and led by 4 full-time coordinators. The goal of this position is improve the organization, effectiveness, and reach of each program. The primary role of this position is to supervise and support ODIM's program coordinators to ensure successful program development and systematic program evaluation. The person who will work with ODIM in this capacity will be one of four main leaders in the organization and will report to and work closely with the Executive Director. This is a new position.

Medical Clinic Administrator
The clinic administrator is responsible for the smooth operation of the two ODIM family medicine clinics. This entails care of staff, effective coordination of volunteer medical teams and management of medicines and supplies. The person who will work with ODIM in this capacity will be one of four main leaders in the organization and will report to and work closely with the Executive Director and this team of leaders.
